“Whatever your heart clings to and confides in, that is really your God.” Martin LutherThe Lutheran Church takes its name from the leading figure of the Protestant Reformation of the 1500’s, Martin Luther. From the time of the Reformation, the focus of the Lutheran Church has been that God loves us unconditionally. There is nothing in our lives, good or bad, which can increase or decrease that love. We are made right with God through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of our sins. We are adopted as His children as a gift of His grace.
Through a personal relationship that God sets up in Jesus Christ we discover that all we are and all we have is a gift from God. This compels us to respond to this love by being His servants in a broken and hurting world.
We as Christians proclaim the Good news: God has done it all in Jesus Christ! As His disciples, we reach out to meet all human needs.
